Great Sapa homestay experience
Nothing, really. If not for my fixed schedule, I would have requested to extend my stay here.
For me, staying here was like staying over at a friend's place. And the host, Diego, is that friend. He made me feel at home almost as soon as I arrived. He speaks good English and makes an effort to get to know every guest. Very friendly, very hospitable, very sincere, and together with his wonderful family, this place really lived up to its name as a homestay. Diego would always be there to greet you whether you are heading out or coming back, giving you assurance that help is always around if you ever need one.
Room is cosy, clean and comfortable. As is the whole compound including the common dining area. Simple yet delicious breakfast that come in big portions, certainly worth opting for. Diego mentioned that his place is not a luxury hotel. But I can say that standard wise, it's definitely worth more than what you would pay for!
The homestay is located in a quiet alley among other residential buildings. Away from the noise, but close enough to walk to the shops put there. There are signs along the alley to guide you to the place so locating the place should not be a problem.
If you're looking for a place to stay and enjoy in Sapa, here it is! I will be back to stay if I ever find myself heading to Sapa again!
