Visiting in the winter can be a little tougher as there is no heating in the room (they do have heated mattresses and blankets) which is common for Homestays in the area. They also have hot water at the ready. What little you give up in comfort is more than made up in the wonderful experience you’ll have staying here. More

The rooms are perfect - clean and some have amazing mountain views. Breakfast is only 50,000vnd and the view from the 4th floor where you eat is amazing. They really consider options from your perspective. I arrived at 6am after taking an overnight bus from Hanoi, and they allowed me to shower and change before check-in later in the day. I went on the recommended trek lead by a Hmong guide named Sue, which was truly delightful—I learned and saw so much! They’ve both made Sapa an outstanding experience for me.

We could even take a warm shower before we went on an beautiful trekking tour that the family organised for us.
